Shrink Bookmarks on FireFox

Filed Under (General Chit-Chat) by MegaDL on 21-07-2008

This might be old but it might also helpful to those newbie. I currently have 60+ bookmarks. Well, only certain numbers of websites show on the main window of Firefox and the rest goes hidden. All the most important website for me of course goes on the main window where I could see them (i.e Gmail, Paypal, Forums, etc) I was bored and was playing around my bookmarks and found a simple way to get more of the important websites I have on the main window. Before, I could only put 7 website but after i found out a very simple trick, the website/bookmarks on the main window of my Firefox has now like 22 website/boomarks. Look at the pictures and see what I’m talking about.

This was my bookmarks before. (Click the image for better view)

Then i shrink them… (Click the image for better view)

As you can see, I could put more websites on the main window. I did this by

1. Right click on the bookmark you want to Rename, and click Properties.

2. Then on the Name: You will put any initials you want to put so no long names to occupy most of the space on the bookmark.

  1. Dude, I was looking for a way to shrink my bookmarks for quite some time now, seemed like no one would bother with those big bookmark buttons.

    Thanks a lot! :D
